Read On If You Dare!

Hunt

Not a comic for the faint hearted, with the issues being dealt with within in the comic the age group for this comic would be 18 +. Alcoholism, drug abuse, child sex slavery, murder these are not the kind of things most parents would want their children reading about. With my style of story telling I want the characters to be deeper than the normal, say Marvel comic book character. With my graphic style of drawing as well this wouldn't go down to well with the parents of the readers. I feel that in order to portray a true representation of the world that Dt. Fox inhabits it would be unjust to hide the grimy side of that and the gruesome nature of the world that has sucked him in.

Saying that I also don't want the comic to be about just gore and shock, I want the subjects to be serious for the reader and have aspects that people can relate too; broken marriages, loss of a life in a family, lost souls who feel out cast perhaps because of a mistake made in the past, a reality that the younger reader possibly wouldn't identify with but as you get older these things all creep into your life. They may even force you to do things that you don't want to do or you may have to re adjust your moral compass to be able to get around.

Hunt Part One - Page two

In saying that the feel off the comic is quite down beat, this doesn't mean that there won't be humour involved but again this could be hard for younger to readers to understand. Even some adults may find it hard to relate to this story but I feel that most people who have been touched in some by any of the subject matters maybe not directly but they are still things that people fear, child abduction, home invasions, cheating spouses, murder, all of these things are constantly shoved in our faces by the media on all fronts and it creates a country dominated by fear. This is what I want to tap into and show these gruesome situations and confront people with them, and show how these affect this character and how his own actions affect people that he comes into contact with.
